It is a happy and unpretentious celebration to give expression to hope and success for the future of the child. Ritual and ceremony are important in our lives. It serves as an acknowledgement of the significance of events and also a marker between one stage of our lives and another.

A ceremony to give a child a name is a particularly important of receiving them into the family and wider community and reflects  the loving process undertaken by the parents in choosing that particular name.
By participating in a naming ceremony in no way will inhibit the child from any religious beliefs or seeking their own truths in life.
